Poor Grandma Begs in the Streets to Support Granddaughter’s Online Class

She does not have a lot of money but Lola Ladia Gracias of Brgy. 160 in Caloocan City is willing to everything for her granddaughter to go to school, even if that meant spending the entire day begging in the streets.

Netizen Jhonroe Yu Cabildo shared that he was on his way to Monumento Station Caloocan to pass his requirements when he spotted Lola Lydia begging for alms at the sidewalk. Seeing that people mostly ignored the old lady, Jhonroe took pity on her.

He was further surprised to learn that the old woman is begging money to support her family, particularly her granddaughter who’s having trouble with her online classes.

Lola Ladia’s granddaughter Princess Jasmine, 11 years old, uses a mobile phone to attend her online classes but she’s having trouble with the signal and could not easily communicate with her teachers. Thus, this kindhearted grandma hopes that by begging, she could help the kid.

Though he only had a small amount of money to share, Jhonroe told Lola Ladia that he will find ways to help her out. He planned on posting her story so that it might reach other kindhearted people who could give her what she needed. Many people would tag Raffy Tulfo in Action on his post.

Later, Jhonroe was able to find Lola Ladia’s house to bring some of the support, including food, groceries, and money, for the old woman and her granddaughter. According to Lola Ladia, Princess Jasmine is an orphan. Thus, it was up to her and her husband to raise the kid.

Though she’s old, Lola Ladia takes good care of the young girl who, in turn, promised to work hard in the future so she could provide her grandma with a better life. Princess Jasmine also told Lola Ladia that she won’t need to beg in the streets anymore once that she finishes her studies and finds a good job. Sweet…
